 Parka's, bright florals and tribal prints, scuba dresses and lace... there surely was enough to see at the River Island spring/summer 2012 presentation in London. We got to speak with head of design Farida, who started folding clothes at the stores as a teenager and since then worked her way up to the top. My favorites seen here are the matching pencil skirt and bustier, the army green parka and uhm... that insanely delicious raspberry champagne ;)

New shoes on my nightstand

Remember my quest for a perfect pair of pointed pumps? (wow, that's a lot of p's). It seems like I made a step in the right direction by buying these. Not the most comfortable pair I own, though. Somehow comfortable heels with a thin heel are just so much harder to find, right?

London report: River Island head quarter

Where to begin on filling you in on my London adventure? I flew out for an experience every fashion loving girl would be excited about. River Island invited me to their head office - a huge building filled with inspiration, pieces of fabric, clothing racks and shoes, where a whopping 600 (!) employees make the designs, patterns, online shop and marketing happen. Outft: London calling

 

Some snapshots of what I threw on yesterday to run around in London (well... most of London I saw in this short period of time was store interiors on Oxford Street) and visit the River Island press office. More on that later, I promise! My look of the day involved a leather sleeved coat that I've been wearing for months but never photographed before and my very hairy Dalmatian dotted loafers.

Off to London

Hopping on an early flight to London tomorrow for a two day press trip. (If the fog does't return over night, that is...) London is one of my favorite cities so I'm sure I'll be snapping away and have loads to share with you afterwards.

The worst possible thing for a blogger happened to me last night: my laptop crashed! I'm praying to the electronic gods that it will magically restart so I can make a backup of the past few weeks... (One of those things you constantly tell yourself to do, but then forget until it's too late). The one and only upside to this whole matter is that I'm off to buy my first Macbook now. Luckily I could still post today's outfit pictures from last week, but that's about it.

Overwhelming amounts of beautiful clothes at Fashion Club 70 (pic 2-13) and designer store Verso (pic 14-23) My favorites the See by Chloe white lace dress (pic 20), Pierre Balmain leather vest (pic 7), grey jeans (pic 13) and D&G animal hair bags (pic 21). Next to great clothes I was in great company, and it sure was fun having my friend - and Elle stylist - Nicole by my side.
