Hello Topshop order!

I swear I'm kicking myself for not having an outfit post ready for you guys. The wind, the rain and the cold just got the best of me. Instead I'm uploading this iPhone pic of a dotted, huge plastic bag. A special one, though, as it contains my latest Topshop order. (*Kicking myself again for my uncontrollable urge to shop*)

New shoes on my nightstand

Remember my quest for a perfect pair of pointed pumps? (wow, that's a lot of p's). It seems like I made a step in the right direction by buying these. Not the most comfortable pair I own, though. Somehow comfortable heels with a thin heel are just so much harder to find, right?

Shiny sequins

Aztec print and rustic sequins mixed up means one cool clutch. I picked it up a while ago and didn't get to wear it yet - I carry loads of stuff in my bags and clutches don't exactly suffice. Planning to take it to dinner in London, with a classic shirt, jeans and heels.

A man's world

Switching things up in the shoe department... Usually I pick ballet flats as my favorite fall footwear. But a leather men's shoe is such a classic, and it's nice playing around with more masculine items every now and then.

Shopping: Mind your step

Sometimes you run in to things and you have no idea how your wardrobe functioned without them. Sounds familiar? And if that just so happens to be the same pair of shoes in a winter and a spring version - so be it. (Yes, these are the twin sisters to the suede boots I wore here). Hope I still get to wear them with tights before my toes will officially freeze off.

The Yara clutch

For a bag fanatic like myself it doesn't get much cooler than having a bag named after yourself. (Ok, the only thing cooler is actually wearing the bag that is named after yourself).
I was so proud when my friends  of online shop Shampalove.com told me they dedicated a bag to me and called it the Yara Clutch.
(And congrats to them, their line is sold at Topshop UK from now on! It inspires me to see people my age work hard and achieve these big goals all by themselves)

Second suede

Asos suede Aggie boots

Remember I posted the
Aggie boots in tan? After a few test rounds in my living room, I figured they were a bit too small. So I got them in black instead (the tan ones were sold out) and think those are wonderful too. Suede is such a nice change from all the leather pieces I like to wear.

The bag...

Still overly excited that this bag is finally mine. Like I told you here, I've been lusting over the Balenciaga City bag ever since I was a young teenager. Right then I secretly set out a goal to have it one day, when I was all grown up. Now that didn't happen just yet. But with my Master's degree in sight, my new job at ELLE, making my blog a profession and just generally being in a good place, I felt like I had so much to celebrate and just did it. Couldn't be happier with this purchase and it really lifts up every simple outfit.

Snake bite

The fashion world has been bitten by snake print. Yes, when Prada, Chloe and Missoni are sending snake skin down the runway, it's a trend. I can appreciate a subtle animal reference now and then, and this print is no exception. So to have this Stylestalker blouse waiting for me in my room was a great welcome home.

Shopping: A tweed treasure

After spending weeks in places where fashion isn't a big priority, which can be nice as well, I couldn't help but indulge when I got back to Bangkok and visited their supersize luxurious malls. One souvenir is this red boucle jacket, with leather detailing to make it more modern. Something I think is essential with these type of jackets, they can easily be a bit too mature. My plan is to mix them with some old skinny jeans or anything leather. (But then again, that's a good wardrobe strategy for almost everything).
