Outft: London calling

 

Some snapshots of what I threw on yesterday to run around in London (well... most of London I saw in this short period of time was store interiors on Oxford Street) and visit the River Island press office. More on that later, I promise! My look of the day involved a leather sleeved coat that I've been wearing for months but never photographed before and my very hairy Dalmatian dotted loafers.

Outfit: Doing denim

For a date with my boyfriend somewhere in between lunch and dinner I just felt like dressing up. Still wanted to be somewhat casual, hence the denim shirt. Obviously I wore a coat, we're transitioning in those freezing Dutch winters, but that day's mild weather allowed me to hop out of my coat for a few quick shots.

Outfit: Out in Antwerp

The worst possible thing for a blogger happened to me last night: my laptop crashed! I'm praying to the electronic gods that it will magically restart so I can make a backup of the past few weeks... (One of those things you constantly tell yourself to do, but then forget until it's too late). The one and only upside to this whole matter is that I'm off to buy my first Macbook now. Luckily I could still post today's outfit pictures from last week, but that's about it. 

Outfit: One sunny morning

 

Last week I hopped on the fashion bus to visit sunny Antwerp. Not for a shopping trip this time but for press days at Fashion Club 70, a big Belgian fashion agency, and luxury store Verso. (A huge travel report will follow soon!) This is me right after breakfast in the Verso Café, where we found the perfect recovery for a night out; orange juice, scrambled eggs and croissants.

What I'm wearing? Ohhh, just my most awesome suede jacket with leather sleeves and asymmetric cut. Pure heaven for a leather lover like myself. The somewhat sunny weather allowed me to wear peeptoes again, yay!

Outfit: Furry friend

Somehow when I wear this jacket, Russel Brand's song from Get him to the Greek pops in to my head (the exact lyrics go something like: "When the world slips you a Jeffrey, stroke the furry wall". Uhhm, right). Either way, I love wearing a good faux fur because it's like walking in a soft, hairy blanket all day and yet you look dressed up. This one is actually black with deep purple, but I didn't get a chance to photograph it well since my camera battery died within three minutes.

 Right before sunset and in the middle of press days I managed to shoot some outfit shots. I spent the day hopping from press agency to press agency in my trusty leather pants and a huge knit. I have my eyes set on a new one that I'll be hunting down today...

Outfit: The next day

 Today I just want to hide under a huuuge pile of pillows. It's the day after my exam, raining, I have a big research paper to write in three days and work is piling up. Then again, if those are my biggest worries at the moment I really shouldn't be complaining... How is your week so far?

Tie the knit

Nothing like a heavy knit with a tiny skirt peeping out underneath. This is probably the only shade of pink I'll allow in my wardrobe. A great counterpart for all my black winterwear, if you ask me. I bought it in burning hot Bangkok this summer, and after a long wait it's finally cold enough to take it out. (The only upside to that, if you ask me)

I don't think my blog shows a fair representation of the amount of times I've worn this silver knit. It functions as a cardigan/jacket hybrid and I'm completely sold on the boyfriend fit. Speaking of which; my boyfriend thought it was kind of funny that I described this as 'just a casual cardigan', but really you can wear it with so many things. Just treat it as a regular grey cardigan.

Paris FW outfit day 3

What I wore on the third day of Fashion Week, when I went to the Viktor & Rolf show. Breezy and therefore perfect to wear in the burning sun and the heat at the show (I can only imagine how hot the models must be, walking under those bright lights). I tried to squeeze my foot, which by then had become super size, in to my heels and at this point I just wanted to take them off quickly, so I didn't really get a total outfit shot I liked. You owe me on that one! P.S.
