Hello Topshop order!

I swear I'm kicking myself for not having an outfit post ready for you guys. The wind, the rain and the cold just got the best of me. Instead I'm uploading this iPhone pic of a dotted, huge plastic bag. A special one, though, as it contains my latest Topshop order. (*Kicking myself again for my uncontrollable urge to shop*)

New shoes on my nightstand

Remember my quest for a perfect pair of pointed pumps? (wow, that's a lot of p's). It seems like I made a step in the right direction by buying these. Not the most comfortable pair I own, though. Somehow comfortable heels with a thin heel are just so much harder to find, right?

Shiny sequins

Aztec print and rustic sequins mixed up means one cool clutch. I picked it up a while ago and didn't get to wear it yet - I carry loads of stuff in my bags and clutches don't exactly suffice. Planning to take it to dinner in London, with a classic shirt, jeans and heels.

Meet Mr. Macbook

Say hello to my new silver sweetheart... the 15 inch MacBook Pro. If this doesn't help me write one hell of a thesis (and blog posts), I don't know what will. Still haven't recovered the most recent documents from my crashed laptop but I'm trying to forget about that. Sometimes I wonder if new technology actually brings us more or less stress.

Shopping bags

Uhh oh... some recent shopping damage. The COS bag in the back is my boyfriend's though, so I kept it in moderation.

A man's world

Switching things up in the shoe department... Usually I pick ballet flats as my favorite fall footwear. But a leather men's shoe is such a classic, and it's nice playing around with more masculine items every now and then.

Shopping: Mind your step

Sometimes you run in to things and you have no idea how your wardrobe functioned without them. Sounds familiar? And if that just so happens to be the same pair of shoes in a winter and a spring version - so be it. (Yes, these are the twin sisters to the suede boots I wore here). Hope I still get to wear them with tights before my toes will officially freeze off.

Deena&Ozzy shoes (I've worn them in Paris here)

New bling

Got myself some new jewelry and figured, what the hell; I might as well bling out my nails too. So I picked up this flaky glitter nail polish that more than anything reminds me of a galaxy (or disco dip on ice cream).

Shopping: A little retro, a lot of heel

A little retro and a lot of heel means one perfect pair of boots that I'm never taking off again. (I would sleep in them if I could). It was a done deal before I had even tried them on during my trip to Antwerp and what do you know; they fit me like a glove.

PS. I wish I could have shown you a new outfit post! But I've catched a cold that I need to cure before FW and I had little to no energy to dress up and go outside. x! Yara

COS is coming

COS is opening a store in Amsterdam this fall - yes, it's official - and I've been checking their website a lot. So glad they're coming to my home town! Can't wait to stepping in every week or so, just to see what they have. (And obviously to check if that silver bracelet is in yet)

Shopping: Dreamy jacket

Gestuz
leather and suede
waterfall jacket
Some things I know will last forever... Like my weak spot for leather and suede - especially when combined. So that played out pretty nicely when I saw this draped jacket on Nelly. The funny thing is that I've worn it before, during London Fashion Week (seen here) and got so many compliments on it. I vowed I would make it mine when it hit stores and so I did...

September issue

Bought a few September issues to inspire me for the upcomming season. Even just looking at the ads (that fill a big chunk of the magazine anyway) is a nice Sunday activity.

VOGUE UK and ELLE USA Septeber fashion issue. (editorial from VOGUE)

The bag...

Still overly excited that this bag is finally mine. Like I told you here, I've been lusting over the Balenciaga City bag ever since I was a young teenager. Right then I secretly set out a goal to have it one day, when I was all grown up. Now that didn't happen just yet. But with my Master's degree in sight, my new job at ELLE, making my blog a profession and just generally being in a good place, I felt like I had so much to celebrate and just did it. Couldn't be happier with this purchase and it really lifts up every simple outfit.

My Balenciaga buy

I did it! After quite a lot of thinking, saving (not the best timing with my summer holiday) and designer bag debate with ELLE-colleague Iris, I finally bought this Balenciaga baby. Can you guess what's inside the dust bag? To be continued... ;)

Shopping: A tweed treasure

After spending weeks in places where fashion isn't a big priority, which can be nice as well, I couldn't help but indulge when I got back to Bangkok and visited their supersize luxurious malls. One souvenir is this red boucle jacket, with leather detailing to make it more modern. Something I think is essential with these type of jackets, they can easily be a bit too mature. My plan is to mix them with some old skinny jeans or anything leather. (But then again, that's a good wardrobe strategy for almost everything).
