Paris FW last day: outfit & Issey Miyake show

A little mix of my last day in Paris, now already two weeks ago. Since at this point I was still in flats and foot bandages, I took out one of my brightest dresses that instantly puts me in a good mood.

The Issey Miyake s/s 2012 show opened with spectacular light effects, surely a good start. New head designer Yoshiyuki Miyamae sent a collection down the runway with both a futuristic and athletic feel, in a color scheme of blue, yellow, nude and brown. Although quite far from my personal style, I think it suits the brand well and had a clear focus. I was most amazed by the voluminous jackets and dark blue dress. Visiting the Issey Miyake show was just the perfect ending of my FW adventure. See you again next season!

Paris Fashion Week is nearly two weeks ago, but here I am, with loads of pictures left to show you. Keeping it short, after all I don't want to give you a PFW overkill! These were the three shows I visited on the second day...

1) Anne Valérie Hash
Nudes and shades of orange and blue were the main focus in this S/S 2012 collection. Anne Valérie Hash showed immaculate tailoring with subtle flashes of flesh. Topping the wish list; those incredible wooden wedges.

2) Amaya Arzuaga
A collection with structured drapes, lots of sheer fabric and a few futuristic influences. There was some repetition (and a lot of skin) but the end result is a feminine, fun collection .

3) Gaspard Yurkievich
The latest collection by Gaspard Yurkievich, in a muted color palette, showed wearable and greatly tailored pieces (including some great jackets). Algthough most pieces I wouldn't necessarily wear myself - it's perhaps a bit mature and sober - it was a beautiful show in the most incredible location.

Paris FW outfit day 3

What I wore on the third day of Fashion Week, when I went to the Viktor & Rolf show. Breezy and therefore perfect to wear in the burning sun and the heat at the show (I can only imagine how hot the models must be, walking under those bright lights). I tried to squeeze my foot, which by then had become super size, in to my heels and at this point I just wanted to take them off quickly, so I didn't really get a total outfit shot I liked. You owe me on that one! P.S. If you like this clutch; I'm giving one away here!

Fashion journal: Paris edition

Trying to show you how incredible Paris is in late summer, when the simplest things suddenly become romantic, where you'll find a packed café around every corner and where style comes easy.

What are you looking at?
1) Getting my picture taken for L'Officiel France
2) Outside the Issey Miyake show
3) Interesting blouse, perhaps a nice DIY
4) Gorgeous model Liu Wen
5) Random café in Le Marais
6) Anna Della Russo
7) Quick sketch of my Prada's
8) Window at Printemps
9) Sunbathing at Jardin des Tuileries
10) Outside the Dior show
11) My tweed YSL clutch
12) Typical Parisian café
13) Me and Sabrina
14) Model outside of the Isabel Marant show

Outfits: Paris FW day 2

Between orange leaves falling down at Jardin des Tuileries, the burning sun and absurd heat at show venues, I figured the best option was to mix my spring wardrobe with fall pieces. Black and neon with a splash of metallic, there you go.
Crazy how long ago these pictures from last Friday already seem (and how non-glamorous I am now with gauge bandages wrapped from the tip of my toes to my ankle).
