waking up in vegas

 1. Belated birthday presents 2. Changing my room around 3. Chocolate roulette chips 4. Pretend betting money 5. A 4 course meal in Essex for Vegas night 5. Mississippi mud pie 6. Losing at roulette 7. Starbucks gift card from my friend Emma.

I haven't had much chance to blog since last week. I've had a lot going on and needed thinking time as well. Alongside my normal day job, I've some lovely Christmas commissions that I've been working on, alongside collaboration work. I also went to see Arthur Christmas on Wednesday, so had a particularly festive type day of eating snowballs, popcorn and Starbucks and on Saturday night, the girls that I'm going to California, Vegas and San Fran with next year, we all spent the night in Essex at a hotel for a special Viva Las Vegas night they were hosting to get in the mood early. Had some wine, lots of yummy food (obese nowzzz) some fun betting and a disturbing Tom Jones act. Oh and FYI that Mississippi mud pie was one of the best things I think I've ever ate!

I've just had a catch up with the first two episodes of Pan Am and I'm loving it. It's definitely filling that Mad Men shaped void within me.

Birthday in a Nutshell

I was spoilt rotten yesterday with breakfast in bed consisting of croissant, scrambled eggs and bucks fizz, pot of tea and millies cookies some lovely presents (which I'll include in another post if people are interested in seeing them? I know I like posts where I can have a nosey like that but do let me know if you're the same!) I had one of my signature bath bomb Space Girl baths, Instead of a birthday cake this year I hinted that I wanted to have the giant cookie, tastes so good... double chocolate chip with caramel, vanilla, raspberry icing, smarties, drawn fireworks and my name written on it to boot! My sister also made me Percy pig cupcakes she said she messed the writing up but they tasted amazing anyways!

In the evening we headed to town for dinner at Bella Italia for 5 o'clock before The Wizard of Oz which is only across the road... ideal for rolling on out of high on carbs! We opted for garlic bread pizza and selection of breads with cheese to start for everyone (nice stinking breath!) and I went for a stuffed risotto and goats cheese filled grilled pepper with mixed green bean salad, Since had eaten a lot of cookie and sweet based foods I thought opt for lighter option and it was still so filling and tasty though, a nom! I had wanted to see Wizard of Oz for a while and decided it would be an ideal way to spend my 22nd birthday evening. The stage scenery and effects are really amazing, Toto is completely captivating throughout the show absolutely adorable and so well behaved. I've seen quite a few musicals including Wicked which is one of my favourites and I definitely need to see again now to see it in context with the Wizard of Oz musical... I've got a confession I've never really seen the film all the way through I've probably seen all of it in bits and bobs but now I'm itching to see it from beginning to end.
