Happy December

Happy December! Amongst one of my favorite months of the year, I know this one

will not disappoint. I have a few trips planned and some exciting things to look

forward to in the near future. Details about that some time soon. Anyways, I finally

got my prescription lenses in these BonLook glasses! I am still not very used to

glasses, but I have certainly been loving these ones. I like that they are unique, yet

not too large and outright silly. And here is yet another one of my sweaters. Now the

large size of my sweater collection is definitely something that is outright silly. I

have a problem, but at least I am aware of it right?

Anyways, I hope you all are having a very merry December 1st. I say

to celebrate, drink you're favorite warm drink. Currently I am sipping on

a Chai Latte and it's really hitting the spot. :)

Bow Made of Yarn

Hopefully it is not apparent in these photos, but I have the worst cold ever

right now! My nose is basically identical to Rudolph's (thank goodness for

concealer), and my head feels like a bowling ball at all times. But oh well...

hopefully this means I am getting it out of the way and my immune system

will just become stronger! Anyways, it's not like I am actually sick, it is just

a cold so I went about my weekend as I normally would have. Of course I

bundled myself in cozy knits and this over-sized vintage top that Steffy from

Steffy's Pros & Cons gifted me for my birthday was just perfect to keep me

comfy.

Anyways, I hope you all have a wonderful start to your week!

A touch of vintage

Well first of all I hope each and every one of you (who celebrates) had a wonderful

Thanksgiving! Mine was great, and pretty relaxing which is basically I that I can ask

for. Slowly the Christmas decorations are coming out, and I am officially letting

myself listen to Christmas music. Anyways, instead of doing the whole 'Black

Friday' thing today, I am going to hit up some thrift stores and search for some

great vintage pieces as well. Much more therapeutic and fun, in my opinion. This

outfit here has little touches of vintage, like the belt, pink shirt, and shoes. I love

throwing a bit of vintage into the mix!

Well I hope you all have a lovely Friday! And good luck shopping if you are.

PS- In honor of this lovely time of year, everything in my shop is 15% off. Be sure

to check it out!

Cozy Sweater

Basically, I have been living in this sweater as of late. It's definitely way, way

over-sized but that is what I love about it. This particular day was pretty

chilly this outfit was perfect for it. Also, these jean are amazingly comfy! They

are a LYCRA collab with Seven For All Mankind jeans, so they are super stretchy

and form-fitting. Perfect to pair with cozy sweaters like this on a winter day.

Anyways, I had such an amazing time in

Austin this weekend! Saw tons of family and got to visit my favorite shops as

well. My only complaint is that it was so hot! Even in November. That's

pretty much one of the only things discouraging me from moving there haha.

Hope you all had a lovely weekend as well. Austin Pictures to come soon!

PS- Be sure to check out my shop! Lots of winter-y goodies :)

Leaves Falling

Finally, finally some of the trees in Texas have decided to change into their

Fall coats. Many of the trees around me are shades of my cape that I am wearing

here. This cape will be especially fun to wear during the dark winter months. I

love pops of colors or florals to brighten up those gloomy days. Don't really care if

it is a fashion 'don't', that's just what I like to do. Also, these DV by Dolce Vita

booties have instantly become another one of my F/W staple pieces! I am totally

obsessed with chunky block heels... they boost me to my ideal height of 5'8 AND

they are super comfy. Dream shoe!

Another thing about this outfit that I am really pumped about is that these jeans

by Raven denim were co-designed by Kaley Cuoco in efforts to raise funds for the

Friends of Animals Foundation, a non-profit organization which shelters homeless

cats and pups. For each pair purchased 20% is donated to the foundation!

Cute clothes with a cause... I am just dying over the zipper detail in the back.

So unique!

Well I am off to Austin, TX this weekend, yay! Going to hit up my favorite vintage

shops, restaurants, and spend time with amazing family. I'll be sure to document

the whole trip. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Fall Frolic

This dress is one of those dresses where you just want to frolic and

prance around the woods in. Not like I actually did that here... in fact

I found that it is equally the perfect dress to wear to a party on a Saturday

night, but I really do love the flow-y factor of this dress. The exaggerated

bell sleeves are amazing and print is so great for fall. Anyways it's by Parker

and it's from this great boutique in Brooklyn called Dear Fieldbinder. If you

are in the area, I definitely suggest you check it out!

Oh! And be sure to check out my shop. 15% off all sweaters/cardigans because

boy it's getting chilly!

Anyways, hope you all are having a great week.

Bundled

Yet another cozy outfit from me. I'll be honest, from here on out most of the posts

will be knits, scarves, and boots galore! I absolutely love fall/winter so my

growing collection of sweaters is really getting out of control. I'm one of those

weirdos that gets a wee bit sad on the first warm day spring because I know

that's when my fall gear must take a hiatus. I just love that feeling when you step

outside and the air feels so crisp you can almost taste it.

And sometimes I even think the branches look better when they are

bare. Yep, I really am an autumn creature. So naturally, this is my

favorite time of year to blog as well.

Anyways, I hope you all are having the most wonderful day! Don't forget

to check out Shop Flashes of Style. Tons of my favorite sweaters for sale.

Oh! And also check out this AMAZING painting from an even more amazing

reader. I am still in awe of her talent. You can check out more of her work

here!

Comfy/Cozy

First of all, today is 11/11/11 ! I feel like it calls for a celebration... don't really know why, but who is against a reason for a celebration? Anyways, I wore this outfit yesterday, and let me just say it was SO cozy. The over-sized sweater +cable knit scarf+ lace-up boots was the perfect combination to stroll around in. I especially like these boots because they are totally not your bore snore regular ol' lace-up boots. They have this fun zipper on the back and a chunky block heel that really make a statement. And another fun thing about this outfit is that this sweater is reversible. I don't think I've owned a

reversible garment in ages! I can see myself living in basically this entire outfit all winter long.

Oh and in case you were wondering what's in there, it is a pumpkin spice latte. yummm. Hope you all had an amazing week and a wonderful weekend to come!

Just a reminder, I updated SHOP Flashes of style, so be sure to check it out! Tons of great

vintage finds this time :)
